2. 1837. Part of a planned group called "Portville", developed by Samuel Gundry junior, one of the twine manufacturing dynasty. Stucco. Low pitched slate roof, with wide eaves on cut brackets with pendant balls. 2 storeys. 3 round headed sashes with glazing bars on lst floor. 1 4-panelled door with semi-circular fanlight, flanked by 2 French casements. 7-bay cast iron verandah with Gothick trellis work.
Nos 48 to 56 (even), The coachhouses and stables of Nos 48 to 56 the dwarf wall and gates to the front gardens, of Nos 48 to 62, No 62, No 64 and No 64A form a group.
