NETHER COMPTON STALLEN ST 61 NW Gateway and Walling of 5/74 Congregational Burial Ground opposite the 11.7.51 Old Forge
- II Gateway and attached walling, forming four sides of burial ground. Mid C18. Ashlar (to lane) and rubble-stone walls, with coping stones ramped towards the ends, and stepped up to the central gateway. Volute survives on left side of gateway. Gateway has coupled Roman Doric pilasters, entablature and pediment. Entrance has square jambs, moulded imposts and round head with a dropped key. Plank door, studded and with strap-hinges, c C18.
