NETHER COMPTON NETHER COMPTON VILLAGE ST 5917 13/58 Middle House and attached Stable (formerly listed 31.7.61 as 3 cottages adjacent to Buckler's Farm) GV II House, formerly range of two cottages) and attached stable. Early C19. Rubble- stone walls. Clay-tile roof with stone gable-coping at left hand end. C19 brick stacks at left hand gable, ridge centre, and right hand gable. Two storeys. 4 windows, mainly 3-light casements with glazing bars, wood cills and lintels. 2-light casement between the doors. South gable wall has two- and three-light mullions. Left door, panelled with 2 top lights, Cl9. Trellis work wood porch. Right door, plank and weatherboarded, with wood frame, C19. Wood canopy on moulded brackets. Attached stable to south, rubble walls, thatch and corrugated iron roof. 3-light wood casements with glazing-bars at right ground, with a 2-light dormer casement over. Plan, stable-type door with wood frame and lintel. Plank door on gable-end wall.
