Listed Building: SOUTH ADMISTON FARMHOUSE (106194)

ATHELHAMPTON SY 79 SE SOUTH ADMISTON 9/6 South Admiston 21.2.79 Farmhouse - II Detached farmhouse. Dated 1845. Dressed limestone walls with ashlar dressings. Clay tile roofs with cresting. Stone stacks at north gable, and at junction of ridges. Two storeys and attics. South west elevation has 3 windows to house and one window to low battlemented former kitchen and bakery at north end. Irregular fenestration, all windows with labels over. Ground floor: 3 light, porch, canted bay on front gable, of one, two, one lights with high cross-transom, battlemented parapet. First floor has 2 light, one light, 2 light with a single light window over this in the gable. All windows are cast-iron casements with rectangular glazing bars. Porch in the angle, ashlar moulded stone jambs and 4-centred head, plank and muntin door studded, C19. Original datestone of 1845 with armorial over, embattled parapet. The embattled north build of 1½ storeys has a 2 light window to ground floor and a single light window over. Low pitched roof is hidden behind the embattled facade. Rear range of 1½ storeys formerly contained bakehouse and well. Listing NGR: SY7666293371
