2/19 Cornford Bridge (That part in Bishop's 11-7-51 Caundle Parish)

Road bridge over river Caundle. C15 and C18. Coursed rubble with ashlar coping. 3 segmental pointed arches with 2 orders of voussoirs. Up stream are 2 pointed cutwaters with rectangular refuges above. Down stream there is one similar cutwater and a 3 stage buttress of C15 origin. Bevelled coping except to one part of a refuge which retains a C15 hollow chamfered coping. Part in Howell Parish. RCHM, Dorset, vol III, p 15, no 2.
