6/99 Barn 30 metres north east of The 26.1.56 Manor House
GV II
Barn. Late C17, with porch additions of C19. Rubble stone walls with brick quoins. Thatch roof, hipped at both ends. 3 slit lights to north wall. Original porch at the north east end of the north side, brick lined with hipped thatch roof. The westerly porch on same side is a C19 addition, also brick lined, both porches are without doors. There are two pitch doors on the north wall and one blocked with brick. The south wall is supported by 5 brick buttresses and has 2 doorways corresponding to the porches opposite. Interior: roof construction of halved collar beam trusses. (R.C.H.M. Dorset II, p.376 (2) Plan, p. lxvi).
